Hailing from a city that has birthed great artists such as The Roots, Jedi Mind Tricks, Freeway and Bahamadia, Philadelphia born and bred emcee Tone Trump continues to set the bar, making history with a new deal and a new album for his fans.
Popular online music promotions company, Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes & Magazine has added Trump to their roster, announcing him as the first artist to be formally endorsed by the organization. While the online music dominator has built relationships with a wide range of both independent and major artists such as Nas, Gym Class Heroes and DJ Khaled, this venture marks the first of its kind.
Also making headway is Trump’s upcoming album Trump Life, the first project under Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes to be sold to the general public. Teaming up with Exponent Entertainment, a Philadelphia-based management company, Trump’s new endorsement deal will be the first of many digital marketing promotions that make it possible for the highly anticipated album to be sold through major digital retailers like iTunes and Amazon.
“Tone Trump has become force within the industry; this album will truly be a testament to his years of work. We are genuinely excited to be a part of this collaboration with Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes,” said Jodie Saueraker of Exponent Entertainment.
Holding the title as CEO of his own record label, Top Notch Inc., Tone Trump has seen a generous amount of success in the industry, achievements varying from features on MTV’s TRL to awards and nominations including the Philadelphia Music Awards and East Coast Music Awards.
Tone Trump’s Trump Life will be available August 18, 2009.
