This is by far a dope record from Brother Ali called “Stop The Press.” It flows and sounds like a beat Jay-Z would rap on. Not too mention this legally blind rapper has over 75,000 sound cloud plays for this record. Numbers don’t lie!!!
Minneapolis based hip hop artist Brother Ali is preparing the release of his fourth studio album, Mourning in America and Dreaming in Color. The album features production from Jake One (50 Cent, T.I., Wiz Khalifa) and was inspired by the 2011 uprisings in the Middle East and the current Occupy movements. Ali is well known for interweaving music and politics, the project touches on everything from race, religion and poverty.
Ali has been on the scene for over a decade, charted heavily on Billboard while his videos have racked up 10 million cumulative hits on Youtube. He has been hailed one of the most “prolific rappers” on the underground hip hop scene and received praise from Rolling Stone to Spin Magazine. He’s one of the few independent rappers to have performed on Late Night w/ Conan O’Brien, Craig Ferguson and Jimmy Fallon while taking the stage everywhere from Coachella to Glastonbury.
