Michael Strahan may be expanding his broadcasting talents and Kelly Ripa may have found her morning show parter-in-crime.
According to a report on Broadcasting & Cable, former New York Giant Michael Strahan will reportedly join Ripa as co-host of “Live!”
Even if he occupies Regis Philbin’s previous seat, the defensive end will continue to remain on Fox NFL Sunday. The long-running ABC series emanates weekdays from New York, while Fox’s popular NFL studio programming is in Los Angeles.
The ABC morning show has been without a permanent sidekick for Ripa since Philbin left the show in late 2011. A constant flow of guest hosts — including Strahan, Neil Patrick Harris, Anderson Cooper and Seth Meyers have stopped by since.
Though An ABC spokesperson declined to comment, Strahan is expected to start next month.
