After 5 long years with the Boston Celtics Ray Allen may be looking for a change. Allen joined Boston in 2007 and immediately made a huge impact with that team as Boston competed for a NBA Title and won in 2008 and now after a Eastern Conference lost to the NBA Champion Miami Heat Allen may be looking for a new address.
The 36-year-old sharp shooter is due to become a free agent this summer, and a host of teams including the Los Angeles Lakers have expressed interest in acquiring the three-point record holder. Many believe the Heat give Allen his best chance to win but I’m not sold on that. Pat Riley brought on Mike Miller to be their three-point specialist this season, but the shooting guard was often hampered by injuries and him and former 3 point champ James Jones may retire now that they are NBA champs.
Allen will need surgery this offseason to repair bone spurs in both ankles a injury that hurt him during the 2012 playoff runs but signing with a new team will prove that even at 36 He still Got Game.
