2013 has been a great year for producer/music mogul Pharrell and it appears that 2014 may be even better. Following a year where Pharrell has been nominated for seven grammy’s, we now know that Pharrell will be working on a new album in 2014 and that he has signed a deal with Columbia Records. Columbia Records has also let it be known that they plan to make Pharrell a global icon. Having produced arguably the two biggest singles of 2013 with Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” and Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky”, if Pharrell can start off 2014 with half the fire he had in 2013, it will be a good year for Pharrell and Columbia Records.
