Last night the Atlanta Hawks with a little help from the refs beat Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers 96-92 and to add insult to injury Lakers star guard Kobe Bryant suffered a severe ankle sprain and is currently out indefinitely.
The Lakers never seemed to get into a rhythm until late in the second half and by then it was too late. I must give credit to the short handed Atlanta Hawks who played without their star forward Josh Smith for stepping up and beating a good opponent.
Kobe had a poor shooting night going (11-33) finishing with 31 points however Kobe needed 33 points for a chance to win the game. A lot of talk has been made about the final Lakers possession last night as Hawks guard Dahntay Jones played “too close” defense on Kobe during his game tying shit attempt where the ankle injury occurred.
