Jason Kidd almost had a heart attack on the sidelines watching his star center almost give the opposing team 2 points.
In a game against the Philadelphia Sixers, Larry Sanders tried to capitalize on an already stellar night on the offensive side (15 rebounds, 7 offensive) with a quick bucket.
With Milwaukee up 84-81 over Philly, he saw an opening and tried to take it. With 6 minutes left in the game, Sanders drove to the basket for an easy lay-up. What he didn’t realize until it was almost too late was that he was heading in the wrong direction. He was this close to cutting the Bucks lead to 1 without the Sixers having to score at all.
Lucky for the health of coach Jason Kidd, Sanders realized what he was about to do.
