Some of Wendy Williams former interns have filed lawsuits against her saying that they were working illegally. More than 100 interns were paid as minimum wage-exempt works, which is illegal in the state of New York. Most unpaid internships are to give an experience in the field, but the former “Wendy Williams Show” workers clain they did not receive educational or vocational training. While working for the show, many had tasks such as taking out the trash, getting coffee, washing dishes, and more. According to The Wrap, Wendy’s husband also gave interns a hard time while they were working.
