This has the potential to be a classic NFL postseason match as the AFC West champion Denver Broncos host the sixth seeded AFC West San Diego Chargers for their AFC divisional matchup.
If any two team know each other in these 2014 NFL playoffs its the Chargers and Broncos as these two teams meet for the third time this season. The Broncos and Chargers are even at (1-1) in their meetings this season with neither teams victory coming by more than eight points and the Chargers may come into today’s game with a confidence knowing that both teams have won their games on the road.
Peyton Manning and his offense has arguably had the best season any offense as had in NFL and if Peyton hopes to end all the talk of him being the best “regular season” quarterback ever, he must get come away with a win today. Phillip Rivers and the Chargers have quietly had one of the NFL’s most efficient offenses and today they hope to control the run game and keep the ball away from Peyton Manning. I don’t see that happening today.
Look for Peyton and the Broncos offense to have a great day. Peyton is on a mission and I see another 4 touchdown day in the making. Rivers and the Chargers offense will make it interesting but in the end the Broncos move on.
Chargers 21 Broncos 34
