Despite coming off of a two game winning steak, now former Detroit Pistons head coach Maurice Cheeks is out as the coach in D-town. The Pistons fired Cheeks this morning making this the eighth time a head coach has been fired under Pistons GM Joe Dumars. The Pistons are currently (21-29), half a game out of the playoffs in the Eastern Conference. Maurice Cheeks was in the first year of his 2 year contract.
