Former Indianapolis Colts head coach and Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell has been named the new Detroit Lions head coach. Caldwell had a record of (26-22) as the Colts head coach and helped lead the Ravens offense to a Super Bowl victory.
Caldwell takes over a Lions teams stacked with major talent on both sides of the ball but who ended the 2013 season on a sour note. The Lions finished the year (1-6) after starting off (6-3) and having the inside track to win the NFC North. Caldwell is expect to be introduced as the Lions new head coach later today.
