Tonight, week 11 of the 2014 NFL season ends as the Pittsburgh Steelers (6-4) head to Tennessee to face the (2-7) Titans. The Steelers are looking for a way to creep into the playoffs so tonight they need to play big.
The Steelers have been a tale of two different teams this year. One week they look like a Super Bowl contender, the next minute, they are losing to subpar teams. With a balance of running and passing the ball, the Steelers need to get back to what gave them their name. Smash mouth, tough football. Look for Ben Roethlisberger to get his team back on the right track tonight. Big Ben is (2-3) on the road with 5 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. I expect Big Ben to pass for 3 touchdowns tonight for over 265 yards. Look for Le’veon Bell to have a strong game running the ball as ball.
The Titans are struggling this year and haven’t been the team many expected them to be. Tonight’s game is about pride and showcasing their team to a Monday Night Football crowd. The Titans have a few bright spots on offense but they have some needs that need to be addressed on both sides of the ball. The Titans are off to their worst start since 2006 so rookie quarterback Zach Mettenberger will need to play big to pull off a big upset.
