Week 16 of the 2014 NFL Season continues this afternoon as the (9-5) Philadelphia Eagles head to D.C. to face the (3-11) Washington Redskins. This is a must win situation for the Philadelphia Eagles if they hope to keep their playoff chances alive. Despite having a division lead most of the year, a lost last week to the Dallas Cowboys has the Eagles with their backs against the wall looking for a postseason berth.
The Washington Redskins have had a rough season this year and with a below .500 record, they could be looking forward to ending the Eagles playoff hopes. RGIII was start for the Redskins today and with his newest weapon, Desean Jackson being a former Eagle, that combo may have something up their sleeves this afternoon.
Look for the Eagles to come out strong and fast today. Lesean McCoy will need to get the running game going if the Eagles want to win today. Expect Mark Sanchez to connect with Jeremy Maclin for two touchdowns today. RGIII and Washington’s offense will need a few big games today to stay in the game but I believe after last week’s performance, the Eagles defense will be ready for anything.
