In our brand new interview with 9th Wonder we speak with the producer on everything from his new compilation album “Jamla is the Squad”, to how the soccer moms have joined the rap community.
To kick it off with 9th we discuss the “Jamla” album and why he decided to have Statik Selektah host it. Next he talks about how the albums lead single, “Betty Shabazz” by Rapsody, contains his favorite beat he’s ever produced and how he made the beat in DJ Premier’s studio using Primo’s records. After telling us what he looks for when signing or collaborating with another artists, 9th gives us his take on Macklemore’s Grammy win and the notorious text sent to Kendrick after the show, why he is excited about the Outkast reunion and more.
