Lil Durk takes a brief sabbatical from beefing with Tyga and lends a helping hand for Boston upstart’s Maine Man‘s visual for his debut single. “R.N.U.” ( Real Niggas Understand) personifies the classic hip-hop idiom ‘real recognize real’, which decoded simply means most people understand and can relate to individuals with the same values and morals they themselves poses.
Maine takes us on a ride through his Roxbury neighborhood and gives an inside glimpse of what day to day life as a resident of the abandoned housing area is like in the JR Saint (MTV Director of The Year 2012) directed video. Featuring cameos by both Rondo Numba 9 and Fred The Godson, the experience is completed by Durk’s signature auto tune contributions.
