This continues to be an amazing year for Philadelphia native Mo’ne Davis. Following her run with her Little League team the Taney Dragons over the summer in the Little League World Series, Mo’Ne Davis is being honored once again.
After already covering Sports Illustrated magazine and starring in a Chevrolet commercial directed by Spike Lee, today Mo’ne Davis has been named the Sports Illustrated Kids “Sports Kid Of The Year”. Sports Illustrated chose Mo’ne do to her ability to make an impact and inspire no matter age, gender or race.
First Lady Michelle Obama and the Philadelphia Phillies have reached out to Mo’ne Davis via twitter congratulating Davis on this accomplishment. Check out the cover above.
