MTV and Genius have been working with to dig up some gems from their extensive vaults of early interviews from of our favorite artists. This one is a gift for any Diplomat fan. Killa’s first ever sit-down with the colossal network took place in 1998 during the time his album, ‘Confessions of Fire’ came out. He speaks on getting kicked out of school in Texas, rapping for Biggie after an introduction from Ma$e, inking his deal with Lance “Un” Rivera, working the mixtape circuit, mailing reels to Silkk The Shocker for the “Horse & Carriage (Remix)”, teaching his mom to rap for “Me, My Moms & Jimmy” and much more.
Seeing Cam in a wave cap and baggy clothes is definitely a thing of nostalgia. Peep the video out below and remember, Dipset is back on the road catch them if they’re in a city near you!
