Things are not looking good for R&B singer, Chris Brown. Today the Virginia native appeared in front of a judge for a progress report and it did not go well. Due to the fact that the singer has been present at two shootings, one back in August at his pre-VMA party at 1OAK and the second one this past weekend at a Capricorn Bash event in San Jose, the judge penalized Brown for leaving the country, making his way to San Jose without getting the court’s permission, which resulted in a probation violation in the Rihanna case. Though Chris was not involved in neither shootings, his probation officer noted the following, “There is also concern that when he performs or attends at some of his public events, people will get shot or seriously injured.” It seems like Chris’ probation officer has it out for him because he did not fail to mention the singer’s past violations: once for assault in DC and also for throwing a rock at his mom’s car in rehab.
The probation officer — who thinks Chris is focusing too much on his career rather than community service and rehabilitation — recommends to the judge that Chris serve time. The officer says the singer has shown “a pattern of making choices that are counterproductive.”
Well damn.
A formal hearing will be held on March 20th. If the judge determines that Chris “willfully” violated probation, he could be facing serious jail time due to the fact that these violations are felonies. Could this hurt his upcoming ‘Between The Sheets’ tour with Trey Songz & Tyga? Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
