Drake fans were excited with the news that they would be able to see some footage of Drizzy performing back in 2009. Homecoming: The Lost Footage will be in select theaters on March 19, but Drake has nothing to do with the film. The rapper took to his Twitter account to alert fans that neither he or OVO are affiliated with the release.
It is assumed, from the trailer, that Rap-A-Lot honcho Jas Prince is behind the film. Homecoming’s trailer features the company’s logo and the film will have interviews with Prince but Drake’s most recent tweet tells otherwise. The rapper also clarified that Prince isn’t supporting the Homecoming footage either.
The Drake Homecoming film is not something OVO or Drake have any part in. I feel it is my responsibility to inform and protect my fans.
