New York Yankee star Alex Rodriguez was forced to take some time off last season after being connected to PED’s. One of the games best hitters ever saw his legacy tarnished thanks to the allegations.
He’s ready to suit again for the pinstripes. After taking a season off, he’s certainly in a rush to get back to baseball playing shapes not sure if working out with this guy is the best way to do it.
According to John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle, Rodriguez is training with Bonds at the Future Prospects facility in San Rafael, California:
A couple of sources—actually buddies whose kids train at the facility—tipped me off to the Bonds-Rodriguez sessions, which obviously made quite a few up-and-comers do a double take. The kids looked, listened and admired the all-time home run leader working with the onetime heir apparent, proprietors of a combined 1,416 homers talking ball.
Rodriguez last played in 2013, when he hit .244 with seven home runs and 19 RBI in 44 games.
For A-Rod to be in Florida with another player who’s name is attached to a dark era in baseball might not be the best move, but who ever said that Rodriguez makes the best decisions?
