The NBA Free Agency period is underway and as the San Antonio Spurs look to clear room to sign a few key free agents, the Spurs have traded big man Tiago Splitter to the Atlanta Hawks.
According to Yahoo.com,
The Spurs are unloading the two years, $16.75 million left on Splitter’s deal.
With the acquisition of Splitter, the Hawks have added insurance should power forward Paul Millsap leave in free agency. He’s strongly considering an offer from the Magic.
The Hawks have the salary-cap space to absorb Splitter’s contract. Forward DeMarre Carrollagreed to a four-year, $60 million contract with the Toronto Raptors.
