Tonight, week 5 of the 2015 NFL season comes to an end as the (2-2) Pittsburgh Steelers head to the west coast to face Phillip Rivers and the (2-2) San Diego Chargers.
Lead by quarterback Mike Vick, the Steelers are looking to bounce back and get back on the winning side of things. Look for a heavy dose of Le’Veon Bell this evening. I expect the Steelers to rush for over 200 yards total this evening and account for 3 touchdowns. The Steelers may be able to get the passing game going with play action and that can lead to a big night for Antonio Brown and wide receiver Martavis Bryant who is making his season debut after serving a four game suspension.
The San Diego Chargers seem to still be searching for their identity and if that don’t find it soon, their division (AFC West) could get away for them. Over the years, Rivers has been a pro bowl quarterback putting up high passing yardage a category in which he currently leads the NFL. Look for the Chargers to get the passing game going with the return of pro bowl tight end Antonio Gates. Rookie running back Melvin Gordon will shine tonight but not enough to get San Diego the victory.
