I can see I didn’t see this coming. After leaving one job in the AFC East, It appears Rex Ryan is headed for another one. Following a record of (46-50) with the New York Jets, Rex Ryan appears to be closing in on a deal with the Buffalo Bills.
According to ESPN,
The Buffalo Bills are putting the finishing touches on a deal that will make Rex Ryan their next head coach, sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
The hiring of Ryan would complete an extensive coaching search for the Bills, who have interviewed 12 candidates since Doug Marrone opted out of his contract on Dec. 31.
The Bills conducted a second interview with Ryan on Saturday night, sources told ESPN.
The offensive coordinator Ryan is most likely to bring with him to Buffalo is the San Francisco 49ers‘ Greg Roman, a source told ESPN.
The Buffalo Bills currently have one of the best defenses in the NFL so the addition of a defensive guru will only help the Bills and I’m sure the chance to beat the New York Jets twice a year sounds good as well.
