Talk about the wrong time to make a statement. Just weeks before the NFL draft on April 30th, Jameis Winston’s Lawyer David Cornwell has some strong statements about his growth off the field and if he is ready for the NFL. Earlier today during a speech at Villanova Law School, Cornwell spoke on Winston being selected as the number one overall pick as well as his growth off the field.
According to Joel D. Anderson, Cornwell has some strong comments towards Winston’s future. With controversy surrounding Winston’s time at Florida State, Cornwell mentioned that Winston is not ready to be a NFL player off the field. He back tracked on his statements saying no one is ready when they are first drafted but will Cornwell’s statements hurt Winston’s draft stock? Check out some of Cornwell’s statement’s below via Joel D. Anderson and let us know what you think. Stay tuned to HHS1987 for all your sports news.
