Lee Mazin, a rapidly rising force of a femcee coming straight out of the “The City of Brotherly Love” has kept her grind tight & ever-growing success going strong since gracing the scene. Her rhymes have gained her recognition from label boss Meek Mill (as she is signed to his DreamChasers imprint), and new verses over current hit records like Migos 2013 summertime banger Versace and O.T. Genasis’ radio hit CoCo keep her momentum going.
She recently sat down for an exclusive with watchLOUD to discuss her new project, No Love Lost. She lets us in on what her experience was like putting together the project and getting in the studio with Remy Ma & Trina, female rappers who she grew up listening to & getting musical influence from.
Although Lee Mazin is a DreamChaser till the death of her & a first lady for sure, she makes it very well-known that her name alone is what is putting her on the map, & a co-sign from Meek isn’t necessary to keep her movement afloat. She even discloses that her & Meek are sitting on two complete records & intend to get back into the studio together once he wraps up his Dreamchasers 3 campaign.
I like to pave my own way,.. We are sitting on two records together. But like I said, he’s working on his own album. So it’s like why rush it? I want that to be the perfect time. I’ve made it here this far without having to get the Meek feature.
