According to WNBA.com,
The Minnesota Lynx were the best team in the Western Conference through the regular season. On Wednesday night, they proved to be the best team in the entire league.
Behind 20 points and 11 rebounds from Sylvia Fowles, the Lynx knocked off the Fever in impressive fashion to capture the franchise’s third WNBA title in five years.
Fowles won the WNBA Finals MVP award just a year removed from playing with the Chicago Sky in the Finals and going home winless. Now, she goes home a WNBA champion.
The three-time All-Star averaged 15.6 points and 9.4 rebounds per game throughout the Finals. Her 6-foot-6 presence was a major difference in the series. Her dominance in the post and on the glass caused the Indiana frontcourt fits.
Congratulations to the Minnesota Lynx on winning the 2015 WNBA title.
