LA based rapper/song-writer O.H.G. Jay has been rapping since the age of 17-years-old when he we was growing up in Birmingham, Alabama. Offering a southern perspective, despite calling the Westcoast his home, allows Jay to deliver more diversity with his music. Influenced by Outkast, UGK, Bone, Wu-Tang, Stevie Wonder, and more, O.H.G. Jay preaches the importance of perseverance on tracks like “LIFE.”
O.H.G. Jay recently shared a 9-track EP titled, Have A Nice Jay, which only features L-T Terror. A majority of the production credit goes to Derelle Rideout, though Sonny Digital, Big Tee, Mercy and Jay himself, are responsible for the cohesive sound of the mixtape.
The reasoning behind Have A Nice Jay EP was simply to simply have fun. Enjoy yourself your life and those around you. It’s a real light-hearted, high-energy project. The whole process behind creating this EP was fun and I wanted to keep it that way even down to the music being created, O.H.G. Jay says.
O.H.G. Jay is currently working on his “In The Meantime” album, which is expected to drop within the coming months. For now, stream Have A Nice Jay below!
