Trading in his usual trap sound, Taylor Gang member and Chicago rapper J.R. Donato gets introspective on “Trust No More,” reflecting on who’s real and down through harder times. The track, which is off his forthcoming Why So Serious? project, has J.R. Donato at his most honest and vulnerable. Featuring guest appearances from Wiz Khalifa, Sosamann, and Levi Carter, Why So Serious? is the proper follow-up to last year’s Fast Money & Freedom.
With a radio hit by middle school, a cosign from Twista by high school, and a record deal with Taylor Gang by age 20, J.R.Donato has accomplished more in his 22 years than most do in a lifetime. The young emcee is adding to his considerable list of accomplishments with Why So Serious?, inspired by Heath Ledger’s portrayal of The Joker in The Dark Knight. “Trust No More” is J.R.’s second release from the project following “Trap Never Closed.”
