The 2016-17 NBA season tips off in October and the Atlanta Hawks are ready to get things rolling again. On Monday September 26th the Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club hosted the team’s 2016 Media Day at the W Atlanta Hotel in the Buckhead section of Atlanta. The Hawks begin preparing for the upcoming 2016-17 season and Terrell Thomas (Eldorado) and Brian Da Director were on the scene to talk with the Atlanta Hawks and get the inside scoop on the upcoming 2016-17 season.
To kick off the 2016 Atlanta Hawks Media Day, Hawks head coach Mike Budenholzer opened the event with a press conference addressing the media on his thoughts on the upcoming season before opening the floor for questions.
Coach Budenholzer addressed the media speaking on the Atlanta Hawks 2016-17 roster, what he expects from his rookies (Taurean Prince and DeAndre Bembry), the possibilities of playing small ball, signing Dwight Howard, Dennis Schroder’s new role, the NBA Hack-A-Shaq free throw changes, athletes protesting the National Anthem and more.
