The 2016-17 NBA season is live and in full effect and things were rolling on Saturday evening as James Harden and the Houston Rockets came to town to face the Atlanta Hawks. This was the first matchup between the two teams on the year and the Hawks stood tall to come away with a (112-97) victory.
Following the game, a few of the players and coaches spoke with the media on the results on the game. Houston Rockets head coach Mike D’Antoni was up first and he spoke on the Rockets lack of aggression on both sides of the court and how turnovers hurt Houston. Houston Rockets star James Harden spoke with the media on his biggest 30 point night and how the teams needs to step up on defense if they look to win big games in the future.
For the Atlanta Hawks, all-star center Dwight Howard spoke on playing against his former team and his 20 point night. Dwight Howard spoke on seeing growth on the court in several of his former Houston Rockets teammates and he spoke on the Hawks play as well. Dwight noted they the Hawks chemistry is improving with each game and that the Hawks upcoming matchup against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers will be a big test on Tuesday night.
