On Wednesday December 7th, ESPN held media sessions for the 2016 Home Depot College Football award finalists at the College Football Hall of Fame in downtown Atlanta. As many of the award finalists were preparing for a few days of celebrating their individual achievements for the 2016 College Football season, we caught up with Louisville Cardinals quarterback Lamar Jackson.
Lamar Jackson is a finalist for the 2016 Heisman Trophy and he was nominated the Maxwell Award as the College Player of the Year and Davey O’Brien award for Nation’s Best Quarterback. During the media session, we spoke with Lamar on his favorite moment of his Heisman Campaign, his love for video games, comparisons to Michael Vick, Robert Griffin III and Cam Newton and more.
Jackson wasn’t shy about how much it would mean to him, his family and the University of Louisville if he wins the Heisman Trophy on December 10th. Before wrapping up his media sessions, Lamar Jackson gave us insight on Mike Vick saying that Jackson is a better player at this stage of his college career than Vick was, his love for video games including EA Sports hit “Madden 17” and his final game of the season.
The interview was conducted by Terrell Thomas. The interview was shot and edited by Antoin Martin.
