2018 may seem like a long time from now but it is not and the NBA is gearing up to take one of their biggest events to Hollywood.
According to the Los Angles Times, Los Angeles will host the 2018 NBA All-Star game live from the Staples Center. The NBA All-Star weekend events were last held in Los Angeles in 2011.

Just like in 2011 and 2004, neither the Lakers nor Clippers will be the official “host” when 2018 NBA All-Star game is at Staples Center.
