How many folks can say they honestly saw that coming. As the NBA celebrates Martin Luther King Jr. day, the primetime game on TNT featured a 2015 NBA Finals rematch as the Golden State Warriors faced the Cleveland Cavs in Cleveland and things got ugly quick.
The last time the Warriors played at Quicken Loans Arena, they won the NBA championship and Steph Curry reminded folks of that in a interview. After making the statement, “Hopefully, it still smells a little bit like champagne”, referring to his return to Cleveland, Steph Curry played a hack of a game, sitting the entire fourth quarter.
The Warriors embarrassed the Cavs tonight beating them by 34 points for their second win against Cleveland this season. It seems like the Warriors are sending a message to the rest of the NBA that they are on a mission to repeat as NBA champs. Tonight, the Warriors hit 19-of-40 from 3-point range. Curry finished with 35 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assist while Draymond Green fished with 16 points, 10 assist and 7 rebounds.
