Brooklyn by way of Jersey producer, MentPlus delivers the first in a series of new music videos with “All My Friends,” a day-in-the-life piece chronicling a group of young skaters.
With Ment’s slapper of a beat as the backdrop, the visuals showcase what it’s like to be a young kid in NYC who just wants to skate with his friends, be free, and enjoy what the city has to offer.
The video was directed by the multiple hat-wearing, Sucio Smash. Among other titles, he’s the head honcho of High Water Music, the Bronx-based label that released Ment’s gratifying six track beat tape, Stormy Nights. From the looks of it, Sucio has more than just an ear for good music, as he deftly complemented “All My Friends” in these visuals. Speaking of, they wrap up with our protagonist being pulled away by his friend before we see the message “to be continued…”. What’s next for these young skaters? We’ll have to wait and find out in the next video.
MentPlus’ Stormy Nights LP is now available via Bandcamp, and can be purchased on cassette in limited quantities. The previously released six track EP of Stormy Nights is available for download hrough all major digital retailers, and can be purchased on limited edition orange with black splatter vinyl via High Water Music.
