Originally hailing from Pittsburgh, Yury is a Hip-Hop artist, song-writer, producer and dj that now resides in Brooklyn. Similar to Atlanta’s Russ, Yury takes pride in being a one-stop shop, and doesn’t plan on slowing down anytime soon.
From co-headlining Webster Hall to selling out Knitting Factory, and producing for Grammy winning artists, Yury is gradually creating a name for himself. Arguably one of the most multitalented artists rising from Brooklyn, Yury is constantly sharpening his unapologetically genuine sound. Influenced by a variety of Hip-hop acts including Dave East, 6lack, and Big Sean, Yury strives to be honest with all of music.
After an in-depth interview with Respect Magazine and releasing his lyrical “Acetate” single, Yury delivers a dark new song titled “Quote This.”
“I was working on the beat at my old apartment, with a view of Manhattan. It just had an epic vibe to it. I’m chasing my dreams, freshly moved to NYC, and the lyrics are a testament to how I felt,” Yury explains.
On his latest effort, Yury remains unapologetically unique, and most importantly, focused. “Change goin’ come, so prepare to move,” Yury raps.
