The Migos have been apart of the Quality Control Entertainment and 300 Entertainment for some years now, making both their name and the independent labels credibility grow in the process. This year the Migos scored a number one hit with Bad & Boujee, and have finally decided to take their talents to the majors. Quavo, Takeoff and Offset are now the newest group to sign to Motown/Capitol Records, officially making the Atlanta trio major label recording artists.
Pierre “Pee” Thomas, COO of QC, said via press release:
“This is a very exciting time for QC and Migos. We have been independently building our brand, and though our partnership with Motown/Capitol they have shown us that this is the right home to take our business to a global platform.”
Kevin “Coach K” Lee, Capitol Music Group Chairman, continued: “Working with Steve, Ethiopia and their whole team has been incredible. Like all of us at Quality Control, they work hard to push their artists’ visions front and center. It’s a creative and proactive alliance that always keeps the goals of QC in mind. Yes, I’m ready to conquer the world.”
Congrats to the Migos!
