When your great, great things happen to you. After a hall of fame career, former Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant is still making history off the court.
Earlier today, reports dropped that on December 18th when the Lakers host the Golden State Warriors, the Lakers will retire both of Kobe Bryant’s jersey numbers 8 and 24. Playing with the Lakers for 20 seasons, Kobe wore number 8 for ten years and number 24 for ten years as well.

Kobe won 5 NBA championships with the Lakers, made 18 NBA all-star teams was named the regular-season MVP in 2007-08 and was named the NBA Finals MVP twice. Averaging 25 points per night for his career, Bryant will join the likes of Magic johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry West and Shaquille O’Neal just to named a few to have there jersey numbers retired by the Lakers.
