Damn, I truly hate reporting news like this. Earlier this morning, TMZ Sports broke the news that Philadelphia native/ former NBA player Rasual Butler and his wife Leah Labelle passed away early Wednesday morning at a Car Crash.
According to reports, Butler lost control on his Range Rover sometime around 2am in Studio City, CA slamming into a wall. The car also hit a parking meter and flipped over.
Butler was drafted in 2002 by the Miami Heat after a great college career at La Salle University. Butler was most recently playing in Ice Cube’s “Big 3” league but during his NBA career, Butler played with the Charlotte Hornets, Indiana Pacers, Washington Wizards, Toronto Raptors, Los Angeles Clippers and San Antonio Spurs.
Rasual Butler’s wife Leah Labelle was signed to Epic Records as an R&B singer. May these two young souls rest in peace.
