The NFL has suspended Tampa Bay Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston without pay for the first three games of the 2018 NFL season due to inappropriately touching a female Uber driver in March 2016 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
In a statement, the NFL said Winston violated the league’s personal conduct policy “by touching the driver in an inappropriate and sexual manner without her consent.” – via ESPN
As of now, the Bucs are backing their quarterback but several former NFL players have voiced their opinion saying that Tampa Bay should consider releasing Winston due his history of repeated sexual accusations. Winston will miss the Bucs games against New Orleans Saints, Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers.
