This week the Philly native announced his upcoming ep, Flavors Vol. 1 and a confident first single, “Aspen” to reintroduce the sound he calls, “player.”
Over a digital dripped beat produced by the young legend Lord Fubu, Nate Runnur adds a soothing contrast with a refreshing delivery of intelligent flex-worthy bars. “Aspen” is all about reaching new heights, new triumphs, looking back on where he was before and acknowledging how much he’s grown since.
About the song, Nate said, “I took a knee the other day and sent one up to the Lord. I’m blessed to be able to experience the luxuries that a lot of folks from where I’m from don’t get to experience. Not rich yet but, but I’m wealthy in the mind. I’m constantly growing and raising my bar and so is everyone else in my circle. That’s what inspired… that right there.”
“Aspen” set the tone for the upcoming project, Flavors Vol. 1 releasing on June 7th. This new body of work is an autobiographical brain dump of everything Nate Runnur has experienced in young adulthood. It’s been a ton of cool shit like graduating from Howard University with a business degree, being a cool kid darling across the globe, designing clothes, and forming a creative business collective with his close friends, ‘Runners Club Team’. He’s curated a unique perspective and Flavors Vol. 1 is only the start of a legendary journey.
