On Thursday August 29th, some of the biggest stars in Hip-Hop and R&B were in Atlanta, GA at the Byers Theatre – Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center for the 2019 BMI/Hip-Hop Awards.
The 2019 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards saluted the top songwriters, producers, publishers and administrators of the past year’s 36 most-performed R&B/Hip-Hop songs in the United States from BMI’s repertoire of more than 13 million musical works.
The night was also a celebration of R&B living legend Brandy Norwood as BMI honored her great career. As some of the BMI awards nominees and artist walked the red carpet before the BMI awards, Terrell Thomas spoke with Hip-Hop rising star Choppa.
With the success of his record “Shotta Flow 3”, Choppa spoke with Terrell Thomas about remaining humble while on his road to success, being nominated by BMI for the social media star award, how he is working on his new project and more.
