Deante’ Hitchcock could succeed on co-signs alone, though BETTER, out today via Bystorm Ent/RCA, speaks for itself. The 27 yo from Atlanta secured a Grammy nomination for his work on 2019’s Revenge of the Dreamers III, he’s signed to RCA, and his debut album nabbed features from hip hop heavy-hitters like Miguel, JID, 6LACK, Young Nudy, and St. Beauty. BETTER is a polished portrait of Deante’s growth as an artist and person — on “How TF” he raps emotional maturity in relationships, and on “Flashbacks,” he questions his faith. Don’t worry, there are bangers — “I Got Money Now, (ft. JID),” sees Deante’ reveling in the come up and “Gimme Yo Money,” is an anthem tailor-made for the ladies. Earlier this month, Deante’ shared “I Got Money Now,” a collaboration with J.I.D., which continued the momentum from “How TF” ft. 6LACK, which earned more than 10 million streams across platforms since its March release.
