Chicago rap-star G Herbo addresses charges of fraud and lyrically stamps his innocence in new single “Statement.” Sampling the Diplomats hit single “I Really Mean It” and showcasing much vulnerability like his hit single “Feelings” — Herbo sets the tone and gives insight into his innocence, and reassures it takes hard work and faith only to live the life he lives.
Herbo says: “Let’s talk about them jets, yeah, let’s talk about Jamaica (Come on)/Can ask about me, I ain’t never been a fraud, I went hard from the start (The start)/In my city I’m a god, motherfucker/If you know you know/Never been no phony though.”
