The DJ Snake hit single “You Are My High,” which is inspired by The Gap Band’s hit from the 1970s, was released in July. Beatsmith Vibes & Beats and French DJ decided to connect with Pluto rapper Future for a special version of the song (now called “U Are My High”), in which Future sings sweet nothings to a love interest in the club over the composition’s genre-bending arrangements.
Both versions of this top tier cut are included among other loose collaborations and cuts by DJ Snake, including Megan Thee Stallion, Ozuna, and LISA, “Pondicherry” Malaa, “Spanish Harlem” “Run It” with Rick Ross and Rich Brian and Camila Cabello, “SG” the latter track appearing on the soundtrack of Shang-Chi. In 2019, he released his sophomore album Carte Blanche, which featured collaborations with Sean Paul, Majid Jordan, Bryson Tiller, Offset, Gucci Mane, 21 Savage, J Balvin, and Burna Boy over 17 tracks. In the past year, Future has had a busy schedule as well. Following High Off Life, he teamed up with Lil Uzi Vert on the successful Pluto x Baby Pluto, and provided show-stopping verses on songs from Young Thug, Chris Brown Playboi Carti, and Moneybagg Yo, Migos, Drake, and 42 Dugg amongst many others.
