Pronounced You-wa-na, this Canadian songstress comes from a talented yet multicultural family; as she has maternal Greek ancestors and paternal Lebanese ancestors. When reflecting on the curation of the trendy new track, Ioanna goes on to mention:
“Did to me” is about the outcome and end result of a relationship situation. The lyrics hit a little harder and definitely a little closer to home. It’s a little scary not only as an artist, but just as an individual to share a little piece of your truth, and I have many gems of truth in this one. This session was such a vibe, and although it made me feel a little vulnerable, it was really empowering to write and get it off my chest…”
