The 18th iteration of Red Bull BC One continues in Los Angeles on Saturday, July 31. The largest global breaking competition will proudly celebrate breaking and the legendary figures within the scene, as well as elevate the next generation of b-boys and b-girls. Breakers competing in the Los Angeles cypher will battle for a chance to qualify for the Red Bull BC One National Final. The local competition will take place at Avalon Hollywood, Los Angeles.
Coinciding with breaking’s global momentum around its recent recognition as an official competitive sport for the Paris 2024 Summer games, the breaking community is prepared to bring the heat to the Red Bull BC One competition.
Via bracket-style tournament, each breaker will go head-to-head with the goal to impress a roster of legendary judges: Red Bull BC One All Star and world renown b-boy RoxRite, prominent b-girl mentor and member of Bgirl City Ericka, and b-boy GWiz. Creative Director Squid will host and LA’s own, DJ Lean Rock, will provide the soundtrack for the event.
Red Bull BC One will support a series of community programming to celebrate the competition’s return to Los Angeles and the city’s contribution to dance and hip-hop culture. Open to the public, programming will kick off on Saturday, July 24th with “Break The World,” a Clubhouse conversation centered around breaking that will be moderated by rapper Murs and led by Red Bull BC One All Stars b-girl Logistx and b-boy Ronnie. Programming continues on Friday, July 30 with breaking workshops hosted by the infamous Kinjaz group and Logistx, who will lead in a beginners workshop, and Ronnie, who will lead in a masterclass.

The battle will be available to stream via VOD across the Red Bull BC One YouTube, Facebook, and Red Bull TV channels 24-hours after the event.
