Rolling Loud showed up again this week with 3.8M viewers for their third Loud Stream virtual festival! The world’s largest hip hop festival came with the romantics for Valentine’s Day-themed event, featuring R&B heartthrobs Mariah The Scientist, YK Osiris and Luh Kel, Drake collaborator Yung Bleu fully embodying his Bleu Vandross-ness, and a stunning performance of Aaliyah’s “I Care For You” by Yung Baby Tate. My personal favorite moment was when Fetty Wap broke into an acapella version of “Trap Queen” and you could hear the Rolling Loud crew singing along in the background.
It’s moments like these that remind me of the power of live music – people coming together to capture the energy of an artist, to revel in their music, to breathe the same air as them. And although Loud Stream can’t physically bring us together, it allows artists to share some of that energy and allows us to experience that connection with people around the world. If you didn’t have the chance to join us this time around, be sure to tap in next time!
