HOFFA, the upcoming project created by Dave East and Harry Fraud, was liberated last month. In addition to the new project, a series of accompanying visuals were to appear. Today (August 11) is the release of “The Disappearance.” The video was directed by WILLC and Crowned YB (they directed East’s previously released “Diamonds” video) and shows the Harlem rapper navigating through a mobster-like scenario, displaying his ability to generate inspiration from purpose behind each release. The video shows Dave East delivering a name-dropping verse while viewers follow the plot.
Featuring a total of 14 records, Dave East selected some of the industry’s most comprehensive artists including Jim Jones, G Herbo, Curren$y, Benny The Butcher, French Montana and more. In mid-June, Dave East collaborated with Westside Gunn to unveiled the artwork to the album during a special art show. Westside Gunn and the Buffalo Kids collective curated the original painting, which was unveiled at the Walden Galleria in Buffalo, NY during a live in-store.
Earlier this year, East, Millyz, and Shy Gawdly collaborated on the project Pablo & Blanco, a six-track collection featuring appearances from Shy Gawdly and Statik Selektah. The duo just dropped off a new video from their recent release, “Trafficking Bizzness.”
