AstroImGone was born Shariyff Darbey on July 31, 1990, in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Syracuse around the age of two. Growing up, his father was heavy into Hip-Hop culture and his mother was heavy on R&B and Gospel. At the age of nine, he was introduced to battle rapping and his father started teaching him to write his own raps. In 2010, he joined the group “Fly Boys Club” which was formed by his high school best friend, Sean Mags. He dropped his first single and music video with Fly Boys Club in 2011, titled “Persian Rugs” shot by T-Shade. Instantly, people took a liking to his unorthodox flow over a dark grunge beat with visuals replicating the hit show “Breaking Bad”. AstroImGone is now head of his own music label “Up & Up Music” and formed the rap group “Jayda Gang” with members Incredible The Rage and J-Onez, in the name of his deceased family member, Jayda. He’s also building traction for his own clothing brand “Up & Up Clothing Co.”

AstroImGone has opened for artists like Jackie Chain and Moosh & Twist, and has done a large number of local shows in Syracuse performing at Lost Horizon, Wescott Theater, Palace Theater, Sparks Gallery, and Studio 54.

At the top of 2021, he moved to Los Angeles, California to continue his pursuit in the music industry. He ended 2021 with the release of his 5 track EP titled “I’m Just Rappin” with hit singles “I’m Just Rappin”, “Do It Right” and “In Motion”. His latest release is the single “Burbank Freestyle” for visuals of the artist in the Burbank Plaza Parkinglot. AstroImGone has a number of upcoming projects this year with “Peter Parker & Freinds” dropping at the end of March, another project planned for 4/20, and “The Colors Outside” dropping at the end of July.
