After recently returning to share his incredible comeback single ‘Finally Free’ earlier this year, a track that symbolized both his new independence as an artist and pride as a young black father in America, progressive rapper Chaz French continues his pursuit with the pulsing new offering ‘Bang’.
Set to appear in his forthcoming new collection, arriving in September this year, ‘Bang’ delivers another bold and inventive dive into his newfound artistic freedom. Exploring a rich and dynamic production that adds weight and levity to his playful flow throughout, his newest release cements him as one of the more adventurous artists working on the scene today.
Known for his vibrant personality and culture-shifting ideology, DC-born artist Chaz French has gone from “being on road to customer service and back to designer clothes”, overcoming death, and homelessness while embracing personal growth on his way to becoming a highly motivated, moment-seizing rapper with a major-label contract.
French developed his talent in the DMV area and issued his first mixtape ‘Happy Belated’ in 2014, which success lead to the release of his first studio album with the label Motown, touring with the likes of Wale, Freddie Gibbs, JID, Earthgang, Cordae and frequent collaborator GoldLink.
French completed the album True Colors’, released in August 2017 through his partnership with Motown with supporting appearances from BJ the Chicago Kid and Kevin Ross, along with the likes of Curren$y and Casey Veggies.
Now Independent; both ‘Bang’ and the track ‘Finally Free’ serve as the first of four singles leading up to the release of his next body of work also titled ‘Finally Free’, available this autumn, with plans of announcing a potential tour partnership kicking off that same month.
